Based on a true story, it was cases like this criminal thriller that shaped significant legal changes. Actual court transcripts and exhibits of the legal proceedings were used.
Throughout this serial, the reader follows not only the development of the criminal case but the personal transformation of the family members, their parenting and relationship styles, and the slow unravelling of their secret lives. Digging deeper, the book emphasises the delusional psychological state of one of the main characters and the impact on others.
